Samantha Mumba


Samantha Mumba – an Irish singer and actress who had a 4 million-selling CD entitled Gotta Tell You. Discovered at the age of 15, Mumba had phenomenal success in her native Ireland and worldwide with a number of singles released in 2000. When a stand-alone single in 2002 found less success, however, Mumba's follow-up album was cancelled and her career put on hold. After many years working in film and in reality TV, she is set to release a second album ten years after her first.

Samantha Who?


Samantha Who? – a short-lived TV series starring Christina Applegate. Running for two seasons before being cancelled in July 2009, Samantha Who? was a TV series about a woman who was stricken with amnesia and set about to become a better person than she had apparently been before the affliction. Not an unsuccessful show, it actually started off with excellent ratings in the United States, being the most-watched sitcom there for more than a month. However, interest fell, and ABC cancelled it after 35 episodes.

Samantha Tajik - a Canadian model who competed in the Miss Universe contest for Canada in 2008. Born in Iran, Samantha Tajik was living in Toronto and working as an event planner when she was crowned Miss Universe Canada. She represented Canada in Vietnam that year, finishing outside of the top 15.

Samantha Fox


Samantha Fox – a Page Three girl turned singer. In the 1980s, Samantha Fox was the premiere Page Three Girl for The Sun, a British newspaper that published a topless photograph every day. Parlaying her success as a sex symbol into the music industry, Fox had a lengthy career in music that peaked with her debut single, the international hit “Touch Me (I Want Your Body)”. A long and storied career includes insuring her breasts for a million pounds, being 'born again' as a Christian and coming out as bisexual. She still sporadically appears on Page Three.

Samantha Carter


Samantha Carter – a fictitious character on the TV series Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. Two sister science fiction shows running from 1997 to present, the Stargate series and their direct-to-DVD movies feature a military team devoted to exploration of the universe. The character of Samantha Carter, played by Amanda Tapping, starts off as a captain, but, over the duration of the series, moves up the ranks until she commands the team herself. Over twelve years in the role, Amanda Tapping has earned a number of awards and nominations for Leo, Saturn and Gemini Awards for her playing of the character.
